The newly designed AKG legend, K 271 MK II combines the benefits of AKG ís circumaural design for extreme comfort and a closed-back design for maximum isolation from ambient noise. Thanks to its XXL transducers, the K 271 MK II sounds clean, smooth and very rich.
The K 271 MK II is the perfect choice for any application where sonic bleed could cause problems such as broadcast work.
Another important feature of the K 271 MK II is the addition of a switch in the headband that mutes the audio just as soon as the headphones are taken off.

The thing I look for most in a pair of headphones is perfect sound quality, which these deliver in spades. I have owned these 'phones for a little over a year now, and have yet to hear a single bad thing from them. The sound is clean, with well defined lows, no loss at the higher end, and when listening to more complex music, instrument separation is second to none.
They are very comfortable, even after hours of listening, and very well made, having an overall sturdy feel that stands up even to being accidentally sat on. The cable is unlikely to ever break either, but if it should it is easily replaceable.
The only problem I have encountered with them is the auto-mute switch occassionally malfunctioning so it activates even when you're wearing them, but this resolves itself quickly.
Overall, if your priority is sound quality, you should strongly consider these headphones.

I study Music Production and these headphones sound amazing,no colouration to the sound very clean, comfy as hell due to the self adjusting design, very little sound leakage, they have a switch that mutes the signal when they are not on your head,so any headphone left near mics while recording they wont spill into the recording which is a GREAT touch!!! love them, Loads to say about how great they are, A must buy for anyone after some top quality studio headphone!
