Excellent Sound Quality |
Uncomfortable to Wear |
These headphones have a very good warm sound with clarity at all ranges. A bit pricier than the AD300's but worth the difference and recommended.
As with all open phones they do have leakage but this should be expected. If you don't want leakage, buy closed ones, but sound quality will suffer.
The main problem with these phones though is what seems to be a major design fault IMO. The self adjusting headband is not adjusting at all. Unless you have a large head these phones will always hang too low for the ears and prove uncomfortable. The headband mechanism is just too weak to rest properly. Therefore you must try these on first for fit.

These headphones have a good sound stage with fairly good clarity but suffer a lot of the pitfalls of low to mid range open headphones. Firstly as with all open phones they are very 'leaky' anyone sat in the same room will be hear exactly what you hear and if you crank the volume you can entertain the next room too. These phones are somewhat lacking in the bass department and the highs can sometimes be quite painful at even medium volume, this is especially apparent when listening to low quality MP3s. I recommend these for music that isn't too 'busy' i.e. dance or acoustic tracks, and would say they sound their worst with heavy metal and indie rock. Overall I like these headphones but I find it takes a really long time to get used to their sound signature and they can sound positively awful when compared side by side with some much cheaper headphones.
