I just received these headphones and listening to my music is like hearing it for the first time as it is so clear and every sound can be heard.

These are THE best headphones ever with no exceptions. The sound off these headphones will change your way off listening to music forever definitely the best headphones >£100 and probably one of the best >£200

Very good, but not perfect...

Ok so your probly looking at theses headphones because youve heard so much about them from various reviews raving about their 'best sound under $100'. I could believe that , tho im not totally convinced they would be the best sound for everyone. Pros - Comfy, Very comfy. wonderfully soft earpads and well designed headband. Retro cool styling (for me at least) Can be driven well by almost anything (because of their low impedence) Fair price. Made in Brooklyn NYC (Representin' ! lol) Nice sturdy cable that doesnt feel like its gonna rip out. And finally, the Sound. Silky Smooth, beautifully accurate sound allows to hear exactly what was recorded. No distortion, just a great listening experience. Cons - Not very practical for using on the move due to ..... doesnt feel very secure resting on your head, i try not to look down just so they wont slide off! annoying cable which while not being monsterously long (6'), is very thick so wont roll up easily in your pocket. Very poor attenuation of outdoor sound, due to them being open backed (no cover on the other side to your ear, almost the same volume comes out on both sides of the earpads. very common for audiophile headphones.) Very high leakage of sound, for the reason just explained, you'll get alot of looks on the subway from ppl hearing ur music Bass is not as boomy as alot of music lovers my age (16) would want it to be. but its good enough for me. right right now u can better decide on which cans to go for. i would recommend these things for anyone who has an ipod , good sound card or quality hi-fi system and likes their music to be played thru some serious headphones (and doesnt mind an open backed desing). I like 'em........ 4.5 stars!

for the price a top end headphone- amazing depth and clarity- more classic than retro looks- the only problem are they are bulky, as in size but light as a feather- a little too big to walk around with- better when you choose to be in one place for a while- the perfect beach headphone!

Exceptional

Says it all... these phones are truly exceptional particularly at this price! Sound quality superb, clarity and definition with a sharpness that makes me think I'm in the auditorium rather than my front room. Disagree with other reviewer over build quality, these phones are perfectly durable and for the performance they give they are also light and comfortable to wear. Would buy these every time over the SR325s even if money were no object. Bravo Grado, keep up the good work.

retro looks, great sound

I've had these for about a year, and am still pleased each time I put them on. Voices are realistic, and the bass is good and deep when it needs to be. They are wickedly overpriced at £140, but at the price here on iheadphones.co.uk, you can't go wrong. Top tip: I've pimped mine with some yellow Sennheiser 414 pads. The very soft Grado foam made my ears too hot!

Grado SR60 Good but!!!!!!!

Whilst the Grado's deliver everything they promise in audio quality the quality of construction is another matter altogether. The single thick cable from the jack plug to the splitter is of good quality and firmly bonded into the splitter. From then on the two cables leaving the splitter to the actual phones are a different matter, they are a much lighter weight cable and I think the word flimsy is not unfair. Their connection to the splitter does not leave you with any confidence either, from the moment you see them you think "there is a problem waiting to happen", and as predicted mine have failed at that point after only a few months of use. It seems that the quality of construction has been sacrificed in favour of audio quality. This does not bode well if you are considering spending more than £900 on their higher grade models

So impressed with the sound quality. A good range and superb clarity, hence they are award winning. I couldn't find anywhere else that would match this sites price for these great phones. Only downside is that they are not closed backed, so people could get slightly annoyed from the faint sound of your favourite music.
