well i have been a dj for the past 10 years now... and the one thing that i have learnt is that no matter how good the quality of sound your headphones produce there is no point buying one untill the peice is comfortable when used over long hours... this is one headphone which produces excellent quality sound and is light and comfortable to wear. the ergonomics of the headphone is so so aptly designed that it fits perfectly (at least on my skull) the sound quality of the headphones is again something one can't miss... the mid unlike other headphones the midranges in this one dont get drowned out in the high and low frequencies. the sound reproduced is crystal clear and is again some thing to be applauded for.. over all i think this headphone is going to take every audiophile to the next level.

Intro and design, This was my first professional headphones that I decided to buy as I read allot of reviews about them. When I put them on my head for the first time it was like the most comfortable headphones I ever had. After couple of hours with them on my head they was still comfortable but they was pressing on my head little bit too much but not to the point when it became annoying. Materials that were used are the most high quality plastic, and metal on the back as they are open back headphones. Overall they are a one of most comfortable headphones I ever had and the design is very unique. The sound Sennheiser was always known of a great sound, but this headphones are just stunning. Highs are very controlled and picky. Mids are very good and not too bright which is very good. Bass is also controlled, very punchy which is a good thing and deep which makes it very good with rock music but also with electronic and jazz, it also does very well with any kinds of music. Soundstage is big but not the biggest I’ve had a pleasure to listen to, these headphones put the listener like 3-4 rows back on stage. Vocals sound very realistic but also instruments come to live with these headphones. There is allot of air between instruments and each instrument has its own place in this headphone, is just like sitting in the middle of a concert. Conclusion This is a must buy for any audiophile who requires an almost perfect sound for a low price as this headphones are the ones that will satisfy allot of audiophiles with it's stunning sound and unique design.

As a self-confessed audiophile and headphone nutter, I'd say that the HD-650 is probably the best pair of headphones on the market today - and that's a pretty bold statement. I've heard some headphones that cost as much as a small car and these remain my personal favourites. Sennheiser has always built typical German headphones - headphones that don't give you fancy gimmicks at insanely high prices, just pure, honest music the way it's meant to be heard. I've heard these plugged into systems all the way from iPods up to those that cost 10 times as much as the headphones themselves and it just keeps on getting better! Not only are the 650s great on their own, they cause great systems to be built around them. With a proper system behind them, these headphones are better than speakers. When you listen through a pair of 650s the headphones disappear completely (thankfully not literally), leaving you with just the music. You haven't heard your music until you've heard it on Sennheiser HD650s.

I love the look, the feel and the comfort that these headphones provide, no better combination exists, I love them and the sound quality blows away the competition for miles :)

Sennheiser has always been the evolving brand on the market. Not the looks but the functionality. Exchangeble parts which i like the most as on the HD25, saved me a lot of nerves knowing that I can always replace them. I honestly think that HD650 is a huge step ahead concerning the sound that you get for your money. I can´t even imagine how they would sound if I got them for free:)

I am a professional DJ, and These really have to be the best headphones I have ever heard...The bass and treble are both so clear you can hear every single tone and its external noise blocking properties are really good too...A VERY GOOD BUY

After switching to the Sennheiser HD650 I was chocked to find out what the true sounding of most of my tracks sounded like. Until then I thought my mixes sounded like the next best thing closer to perfection when in fact, during certain transitions, the mix had been mudded by a low noise interference coming from my video equipment that only the trained ear could detect but the regular user would just find somewhat annoying. I am so glad to have invested in the Sennheiser HD650, even with the somehow steep the price tag for my modest budget that all my financial guilt feelings have vanished. I recommend it to any one that is working with high quality sound and looking to hear what the tracks and final mixes really sounds like. The Sennheiser HD650 makes you hear your sounds as it really sounds like so that you can obtain the best final mixing quality possible on whatever device your track is played on after release. Go for it!
