The Panasonic RP-HJE50 headphones offer a good value alternative to the Sennheiser Cx300.
The sound quality is good. (I was using them as a replacement for my Ipod standard headphones). With a reasonable bass and good handling of higher-end tones.
The headphones sit comfortably in the ear and do well to block out external noise. On a downside the rubber-ear pieces occasionally fall off when in a pocket of bag. Also, the two-piece cord is an annoying length when used with an ipod kept in a trouser pocket. The short piece is too short, and with the extension piece too long. But on the whole, good headphones and excellent value for money.
Best budget buy. Jack 11/5/2007
The first thing I have to say is that these headphones are not the best headphones you can buy. What is so amazing about these is the price. You are looking at a £60 pair for he ridiculously cheap price of £17! I have had a pair since January 2007 and they are still going at a fantastic quality. The bass definition is beyond that of a lot of my speakers. The sound is truly immersing.
For the price these are definitely my best buy in a long time. I have had many many compliments from friends and family who have tried them on how fantastic they sound compared to theirs and I move in very music enthusiastic circles.
