The DT 660 is based on a closed headphone design and therefore attenuates ambient noise more effectively. In addition it also prevents the sound from inside the headphone to be heard outside. The neutral but direct sound characteristic is an essential feature that you normally would only expect from a headphone in open design. Equipped with beyerdynamic's unique bass reflex system the DT 660 convinces with an exceptional sound over the complete frequency range with a powerful reproduction of low frequencies.
