Excellent Sound Quality Great Value |
Susceptible to Faults/Damages |
Firstly the sound isolation is excellent. Using the foam buds and correctly inserted, external outside noise is absent allowing you the listener to listen to your music in tranquility,
The sound is fantastic; clear mids, sweet treble and a good fast tight bass. The bass is deep but not thumping though a 'kick' can be felt.
the best compliment that using my 160GB there is no need to alter any of the EQ settings.
Disadvantages; very expensive and the they are prone to damage easily.

The best sounding earphones hands down. Audiophiles would love the sound quality, signature, clarity, accuracy. The bass is nice and tight, you can even feel the punch many a times, the mid is just perfect and the high's are oh so vibrant, not at all tingling or irritating.
Overall, these pairs remain unrivalled, even though I though the SE 530's were great, but after using these, they sound less inviting, adding the fact they were prone to wire damage and build quality issues.
The Westone 4 are the only other earphones that I would probably listen to, but, they're there lying in my drawer. Just love these babies.
But, these aren't for made for the bass loving crowd. They are phones for the audiophile crowd, people who love and appreciate the clinical sound quality.

I've had 2 pairs of SE530s both of which have suffered from build quality issues despite the fact that sound quality was unrivaled.
I'm pleased to see Shure have addressed these issues with the SE535s and they now have detachable high grade cables to the earphones themselves.
Sound quality is unparalleled giving an incredibly accurate and detailed sound. Every nuance can be heard and bass response is incredible, particularly if used with custom ear tips.
The SE535s are highly recommended if music is an important part of your life.
