These lightweight headphones can follow you easily. You barely feel it when you wear them. The open-back design of the Ultrasone HFI-15G is highly appreciated for mobile applications or as hearing aid for watching TV. This is the smallest headphone of the Ultrasone HFI line, convincing with its pure and spacious sound.
Through the S-Logic Natural Surround Sound the usual headphone sound will be moved out of the head in the room around you. The sound is no longer locked in, but appears broad and detached. Directions and distances can be heard and perceived - it?s just like being in a live concert. For this new technology additional equipment is not required. Take a pair of Ultrasone headphones plus your sound device and you will be ready for the 3-dimensional sound enjoyment!
S-Logic does not only create a Natural Surround Sound. S-Logic allows at the same time a reduction of sound pressure levels by up to 40% (3-4 dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening. However, Ultrasone generally advises not to listen to music at high volumes to prevent hearing damage.

Value for Money Sound Quality Comfort Build Quality Style I picked up these Ultrasone HFI-15G from a closing down sale in Australia, intrigued by the claims of 98% reduction in EMF (and also the steep reduction in price from the RRP).

Firstly they sound great - better than any headphone I've ever used, picking up details I never knew were there in my music. They are comfortable, and you soon forget that you are wearing them.
Secondly they are gentle on the ears. My ears don't ring after using these for a few hours, which is a problem I've had with other headphones even expensive ones. I don't know if that's due to the EMF reduction, or the indirect sound spacing, but they are definitely ear friendly.
My pair have a damaged jack (tripped over it twice while it was plugged in). I would buy again if I was in the market for open headphones, but I'm going instead for the HFI-580s as I need a closed ear design so I don't drive my wife mad :)
